  1. I’ve heard that Parsley, Rutin, Tansy, Pennyroyal, Blue Cohosh and Dong Quai can all aid in abortion. Is it safe to take these herbs? Are they safer and less harmful than clinical abortion? what you think?

  4. I would always consult with a doctor first before taking any medication or herbs to make sure about any effects it could have on both the mother and the baby. I always steer on the cautious side though.

  5. Probitics as we all know helps maintain equilibrium in our digestive tract. It strengthens our immune system, it treats urinary tract infections and it helps children not to contact food allergies.

But maybe some of us do not know that probiotics are also healthy for pregnant women. It could help them in pregnancy symptoms like indigestion and heart burn. Not to mention constipation and skin breakouts could be toned down.

To all soon to be mothers and to all the pregnant women, I am happy for you and I hope your road in becoming a mother would be a success.

  7. I’m 15 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with an UTI, I’m allergic to Pencillin (apparently the most safe antibiotic to use during pregnancy) my doctor prescribed microbid, a nitrofurantion which once I was home and did some research found that it has recently been linked to birth defects.

Is there a natural alternative that is safe during pregnancy ?

  8. As with all medications, you should avoid taking any herb during the first trimester and use only minimal amounts for short periods of time thereafter, and then only when needed. Culinary herbs (basil, oregano, etc.) usually are safe in the small amounts used in cooking, but not in the larger doses used for teas. External use of herbs, such as aloe vera, usually presents no problem.

  9. New Ideas for me, seaweed, where would I get that from and how would I get my wife to eat or drink it.

May I give another suggestion. Rooibos tea or green tea are very healthy drinks especially for a pregnant woman.

  14. Compared with chemical compounds, regularly natural herbs are relatively safer during pregnancy. However, some herbs such as dong quai should be avoided for pregnant or woman who are breast-feeding.
